she/they
I offer clients an environment of empathy, grounded presence, and respect, within which we collaborate to uncover their whole, healed, balanced self. I work to empower clients to know themselves deeper, to practice being mindfully present with what is, and to compassionately accept all parts of themselves, bringing them closer into harmony with their self, other people, and the world.
My client focus:
I work with teens and adults of all backgrounds. Emphasizing self-empowerment and deep self-knowledge, I collaborate with my clients to increase balance and harmony within themselves and in their personal relationships. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, overwhelm, communication and self-expression. I also have experience counseling deep inner conflicts relating to identity, including self-esteem, self-doubt, and self-image. I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life, and am uniquely suited to support artists and neurodivergent creatives, as well as athletes and dancers, especially those struggling with body-image issues and high pressures relating to performance.
My therapeutic approach:
Rooted in compassion, curiosity, and cultural awareness, I tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual client. My background in dance and martial arts, as well as licensed bodywork and energy healing practices, all inform my whole-person approach to wellness. I pull from a combination of cognitive, somatic, and expressive arts therapies to help my clients achieve their therapy goals. Our bodies and minds hold untold stories. Through a mindful combination of talk therapy, movement, and creative expression, we can metabolize trauma, emotions, and challenging experiences. I welcome all the layers of my clients’ identities, including intergenerational and ancestral traumas, spirituality, and mystical experiences.
Alisa currently sees clients virtually and in person.
